The Berts Story
Service Is Our Business! and it has been, for over 65 years! The Berts story starts in 1956 with the opening of Berts Service Station at the corner of Kennedy Ave. and 173rd St. in the Hessville neighborhood. The business flourished and was an anchor for the neighborhood for decades. As the business grew, the towing operation took over the neighboring carwash, and that has served as the operations hub since 1974.
What started as a neighborhood gas and service station has grown into THE TRUSTED NAME in Towing, Transport and Recovery in the Midwest. Berts Towing is an industry leader in training, technology, and advocacy for our industry. Today, Berts Towing is in its THIRD generation of family ownership and is ready to serve you with the latest in equipment and expanded range of services.
We pledge to continue the Berts Service Station moto of “Service Is Our Business” as we continue to grow. Work is underway on our new headquarters and shop, and we look to move into our new home Summer of 2022.
